I'm afraid I am not maintaining this project anymore, since I no longer own an ATI TV tuner card. Moreover, the GATOS driver has evolved to a different architecture that doesn't work with this application anymore.
However, I'll be happy to give maintainership of this project to anyone interested.
gatitv is a TV tuner program for ATI video cards equipped with an ATI TV tuner. It is actually just a different frontend to GATOS.
The main reason for existing this program, given that there is already xatitv from the GATOS package, is that xatitv uses a custom toolkit -- ibtk -- which is rather ugly (of course that's a matter of taste, I guess).
gatitv is based on GTK+ and GNOME, which gives it a much better look. Other features include decorations (themes) and the very useful ability to reorder channels. Unfortunately, some features from xatitv are missing, like snapshots, closed-captioning, etc., so keep it around.
Also, install the following libraries:
Get gatitv from http://download.sourceforge.net/gatitv/
Then, to install gatitv follow the usual ./configure && make && make install routine.
